CheckoutElectric bikes, electric scooters and electric dirt bikes, and their batteries and chargers, must be used and looked after correctly. This page gives general safety guidance. It does not replace the instructions and warnings of the manufacturer of your product, which always take priority.
Before first use
- Read the manufacturer's user manual and safety instructions before you charge or ride the product, and keep them for later.
- Check the product for damage from transport. Do not use it if anything is damaged or missing, and contact us.
- Charge and set up the product exactly as the manufacturer describes.
Correct use
- Follow the manufacturer's limits for rider weight, load, rider age, terrain and weather, including any limits on use in rain or water.
- Before each ride, check the brakes, tyres, lights, folding mechanism and battery mounting.
- Wear suitable protective equipment, such as a helmet.
- Do not modify the motor, controller, battery or speed settings. Modifications can make a product unsafe and can affect its warranty.
Where you may ride
Rules on where and how electric bikes, electric scooters and electric dirt bikes may be used are set by law and can differ for each type of vehicle. Before riding on public roads, cycle paths or pavements, check the rules that currently apply in Cyprus to your type of vehicle. A product being sold by us does not mean that it may be used on public roads.
Battery safety
- Charge on a hard, non-flammable surface, away from anything that can burn, and not in an escape route such as a hallway.
- Do not leave a battery charging unattended or overnight while you are asleep.
- Let the battery cool down after riding before you charge it, and keep it away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
- Do not open, puncture, crush or repair the battery yourself.
- Stop using a battery that is swollen, damaged, leaking, unusually hot or smells of burning, or that has been dropped hard or soaked in water. Move it away from anything flammable if it is safe to do so, and contact us. In an emergency, call 112.
- Store the battery as the manufacturer recommends.
- Do not put batteries in household waste. Take them to a suitable battery collection point.
Charger compatibility
- Only use the charger supplied with the product, or a replacement approved by the manufacturer for that battery.
- A charger that fits the connector is not necessarily compatible. Voltage, current and battery type must match.
- Do not use a charger or cable that is damaged, and do not cover the charger while it is in use.
Spare parts
Only fit parts that are specified for your vehicle's brand and model. Parts that affect safety, such as brakes, tyres, batteries, controllers and wiring, should be fitted by a competent person.

The manufacturer's user manual, safety instructions and any conformity information for a product are provided by the manufacturer.
